ENGINEERING FAQ's

  1. What CAD software do you use?

2D CAD, along with 3D CAD modeling. Our primary software is AUTODESK PRODUCT DESIGN SUITE including AutoCAD, Inventor, Simulation Mechanical.. We are also able to translate from other native file formats.

  2. What types of material can you simulate with FEA?

Press-Seal can do linear (Metals & Plastics) and non-linear (polymer based) materials, in static or dynamic conditions. We take the computer based analysis and then replicate the results with real world testing. That further confirms our faith and commitment to the customer that the product performs according to their requirements.

  3. How long does a prototype take to develop?

Press-Seal has several tools and technologies present at our facility. Computer aided design, 3D printing technology, precision waterjet cutting, and CNC & Wire EDM metal cutting. To verify the process design, a state of the art, certified quality lab, with 3D scanning technology, along with hydrostatic testing stands by to verify the results.

  4. What types of products can you reverse engineer?

When samples are made available, reverse engineering can be a fairly simple task. When there are no physical samples available, Press-Seal engineering teams up to dissect all the known and unknown values and information, determines the critical characteristics of each, then devises a solution to come to a reliable and sustainable solution.
